Astonishing footage shows vendors calmly selling goods below a building undergoing an active DEMOLITION.

The locals pitched up their stands to flog clothes and home accessories to passers-by in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 30.

Incredibly, just above their heads a backhoe was demolishing the building they were sitting under.

Footage shows how there were even loose wires and crumbling slabs of concrete hanging dangerously from the sides of the crumbling structure.

Shocked onlooker Channapong said: 'Thai people don't give a flying fox about safety.

'I'm surprised there were no safety barriers while the workers were literally demolishing the building.

'Instead of staying safely back, the traders just pitched up at their usual spots like they didn't care.'

Thailand has a patchy record on health and safety and questionable levels of investment in public infrastructure.

Thailand was ranked 110 out of 180 on Transparency International's 2021 Corruption Perception Index. Denmark, Finland and New Zealand were ranked joint first place while South Sudan was at the bottom.
