This is the hilarious moment a schoolgirl was left embarrassed after her braces became snagged on a volleyball net.

Volleyball setter Shkelly Castro and her friends were playing a match when the metal bracket on her teeth caught onto the black mesh in Cavite, the Philippines.

The comical mishap prompted both her teammates and opponents to rush over and help free her on October 12.

Footage captured by Joanne Delos Santos shows Shkelly tilting her head back with her mouth open as one of the girls carefully untangles the net from the wire.

Meanwhile, others can be heard laughing and cracking jokes to lighten the mood.

They eventually managed to remove the net and continue the game, though one of Shkelly's brackets came loose during the incident.

Joanne said: 'Shkelly is a setter, and during the game, she was laughing at something when the opponent suddenly served the ball, causing the net to hit her teeth from the impact.'
