On display are gilt bronze wisp jade garments unearthed from the tomb of King Jian and Liu Yan of Zhongshan in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Liu Yan was the son of Liu Xiu, emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Normally, princes could only use copper wisps, but because he was favored by the emperor, the emperor gave Liu Yan special permission to use gilt bronze wisps and jade clothes.
