A mum has gone viral after revealing how her partner spent over £8,000 ($10,000) on OnlyFans – having become "addicted" to the adult site, even maxing out credit cards to watch p*rn and chat to sex workers.

Kelsey, 28, a healthcare worker from the US, grew suspicious of her partner, not named for privacy reasons, after he made some suspicious comments about OnlyFans.

But it was only when her partner left his phone in their child's nursery that the true extent of his addiction came to light.

Concerned, Kelsey decided to look through his phone and was shocked by what she found.

"Looking back, when he said that he would never spend money on OnlyFans and that he thought it was stupid, I should have seen that as a red flag," Kelsey told NeedToKnow.online.

"People will generally tell on themselves like that.

“I was up feeding our child one night when he was about four weeks old, and my partner had left his phone in the nursery.

“I found a saved WhatsApp conversation in his files app, along with some pictures.

"I guess he’d been talking to this same sex worker and buying her content of many videos for years.

"I woke him up and confronted him immediately and from there, more information came out throughout the day.

“He maxed out his $10,000 (high interest) credit card.

"I saw that he had been making regular payments on it and had paid a big chunk ($4,000 I think) in December.

“I’d caught him looking at stuff before on Reddit but when he said he stopped and never did anything on OnlyFans or otherwise, I believed him."

At first, Kelsey was devastated but determined to help her partner, the pair worked together to find him a therapist to help with his addiction.

She said: "He found a therapist, we put screen time controls on his phone and he shows me his bank statements.

"He’s also trying to find a new job where he won’t have to travel so much, because being apart definitely doesn’t help the problem.”

To break down the stigma around p*rn addiction, Kelsey has also taken to TikTok to share her story, dubbed @letstalkaboutcorn – jokingly referring to the habit as a "corn addiction".

One clip, where she has already had over one million views and 172,600 likes she explains how she felt finding out her partner had splashed cash on "custom content" instead of "saving for their family".

The video has received a mixed response from users, including from OnlyFans models.

“Hiding it is the worst part….what’s so difficult about being open and honest about it? why is he so ashamed??," wrote one user.

“THOUSANDS?" commented another user, most likely referring to the money spent.

“So sorry for the pain you’re feeling right now," commented another user.

Even OnlyFans creators waded into the debate.

“I gotchu girly. I don’t offer custom content," wrote one model. [sic]

“Unfortunately I’m one of those girls and if I would’ve known I would’ve given the money right back," wrote someone else.

“I feel so bad when I see stuff like this as a custom content creator," added another model.

Overwhelmed by the response to her videos, Kelsey hopes sharing her story will get more people talking about the effects of p*rn addiction on relationships.

She said: “When I first started posting I was absolutely just in shock and wanted to vent.

"I’ve been on social media sharing my life for about three years now, so it was just natural for me to do that.

"But I was shocked at the overwhelming response and attention my videos got.

“Once I saw that this was something people really needed to hear about, I decided to just keep making the content.

“I get a lot of hate comments and a lot of people telling me I have no self worth if I don’t leave him etc.

"People get mad when I don’t take their advice, but they’re only seeing a small part of my life and people don’t understand how common this kind of behaviour actually is.

“I’d be willing to bet that some of their partners are doing the same thing.

"It took me three years... [...] to find out what he’d been doing. Aside from the hate comments, I get an equal number of people reaching out to say they love my content and they’re going through the same thing.

“I guess my main purpose is to educate people on how p*rn really is addictive and can ruin relationships and damage the people that use it.

“There were so many times I looked through his phone and found nothing.

"It’s been almost two months now and we still talk about it daily."
