The anti-MONUSCO protests that began on Monday, July 25 in Goma have turned violent and continued on Tuesday to other parts of the country.

The demonstrators were claiming that the UN peacekeeping group failed to protect civilians against militia violence. Some of the protesters threw rocks and petrol bombs, vandalized, and set fire to U.N. buildings.

In this video, as described by the video owner, smoke billowed from the residence of one of the UN agents in Butembo caused by the demonstrators.
