Turkish police arrest women and demonstrators who took to the streets of Istanbul, Turkey, to demand justice for Mahsa Amini.

The 22-year-old Iranian woman died during police custody under suspicious circumstances in Tehran, Iran, on September 16. She was arrested for allegedly breaking hijab rules.

People who protested in Istanbul's Taksim Square were detained.

Footage filmed on September 20 shows a group of policewomen arresting a female demonstrator, who is then brought inside a police van.

Iranian women wanted to protest in Taksim Square in Istanbul, on September 20, for Mahsa Amini, the woman who was beaten to death by the morality police in Iran.

The police did not allow the protest. Many people, including men and LGBT individuals, were detained in the action that the women who said there was a dictatorship in Iran wanted to take.
