This Thai inventor built a flying passenger drone that can carry a pilot.

Engineer Khun Thatchapol of tech company Pulse Science constructed the vehicle called 'Asvin' capable of seating one person while travelling the skies.

The machine is lifted by several propellers carrying a small, single-seat cabin for its operator.

Pulse Science said it has multiple potential applications, including for tourism, medical emergencies, transport, and logistics.

Tatchapol, who developed the drone in Bangkok, Thailand, said: 'We had some obstacles in testing the drone as we had limited space. We were able to test it many times, but with limited duration.

'I believe the Asavin drone is a bright hope for everybody. It will surely transform the future of travel which we only used to see in sci-fi films. This invention will reduce travel time and also improve traffic. But this will also depend on each country's policy.

'We are still developing different systems for the internal landing, soft landing, and also the use of a parachute.'
