Amusing footage shows how a stubborn cyclist fell over three times while trying to ride along an embankment in Cambodia.

The local was apparently feeling adventurous and rode along the steep slopes instead of using proper lanes in Phnom Penh on October 3.

He rode smoothly at first but lost balance when he hit a bump on the brick-laid path.

Footage shows the bungling man tumbling down as amused park-goers watched him struggle to ride his bike.

Onlooker Carlton Kohnert said: ‘He was so hardheaded. He wanted to ride on the steep slope and just doesn't give up.'

After the mishap, the defiant old man mounted the bike again to reach the end of the downhill path but tumbled two more times until he decided to just walk across while dragging the mechanical two-wheeler.

Carlton added: ‘He wasn't willing to give up. I bet he will try the stunt again tomorrow.'
