Cyclist killed in Montrose during 'Pride Ride' after a vehicle ran him over in Houston, TX, USA

A cyclist was killed after falling into the lane of an oncoming car in the Montrose District of Houston, TX during a 'Pride Ride' just before 8 p.m. in the 2200 block of W. Dallas. Police say the vehicle struck him, then ran him over as the driver fled the scene in a silver Mercedes E-Class. Police are currently searching for this vehicle and the driver.

According to the "Pride Bike Ride Houston" Facebook page, the cyclist's name was Shane. The ride, which is a regularly occurring ride started at the Eagle Houston bar around 7:30 p.m., which is also located in the Montrose District of Houston. As of right now, all future rides have been canceled at this time.
