Leading the charge is the "National No.1 Uranium" demonstration project, the largest natural uranium production base nationwide by capacity, which delivered its first barrel of output this past July. Located in north China's Ordos City, this crown jewel of China's third-generation uranium technology fuses smart systems with sustainable practices. Most notably, it uses a CO2 and O2 in-situ recovery technique, which dissolves uranium underground so it can be pumped up to the surface through a fully closed loop for minimal environmental affect but maximum operational efficiency.
