This family has spent £44,500 ($50,000) on Halloween decorations complete with a lightshow which syncs up with spooky music. The decorations feature pyrotechnics, giant skeletons and lights that flash in time to music. Kyle Bostick, 34, began decorating the family home in 2020 after his wife Christina, 35, saw her dream decorated home online. The Bostick family now put on a lightshow every Halloween - and any other holiday that fits the bill. Since its inception, their holiday shows have grown into a local sensation, attracting hundreds of people each day. The Bostick have also raised close to £18,000 ($22,000) for charity. Due to its popularity, the light shows are held not only for Halloween - but also at Christmas, on Valentines Day, and for Thanksgiving. Kyle, an IT tech at Apple, took a DIY approach to the decor, and learned everything he needed to know on YouTube, even figuring out how to program the lights on his own. He orders the props online, fixes the lights to them and builds the structures needed to support them independently. Kyle, from Garden city, Michigan, USA, said: "Christina saw a video and told me I needed to figure it out, I had no idea how to get started." "The most difficult thing to do was the software part, to program the lights. You put the lights in groups and you can set their color by group. "You can order all of the props, but they come without lights on them and you have to build the structures yourself. "You can do pretty much anything you want, it's a very artistic approach, anyone could program a light show, but not anyone could make one people want to see. "The street has cars lined up on it every day, block to block. "All but one of the people on our street support what we do, they're all supportive, they come outside and see all the kids enjoying what we do. "It's really hard to put into words, we did something because we enjoyed it, but we had a high attention to details, it's really rewarding to see kids showing up and enjoying it. "One time, these parents whose kid had autism, and they would come to just watch the lights for hours."
