Burmese villager prepare 'divisive' frog curry dish in Myanmar
Footage shows a Burmese villager preparing a 'divisive' frog curry dish in Myanmar.
The cook, Yar Taw Thu, first picked tamarind leaves from a tree to add a sour flavour to the food.
She then rinsed the frogs and removed their innards before seasoning the reptile meat with aromatics and spices like onion, garlic, turmeric, salt, and sliced chili peppers.
The frogs were placed over a stove and left to cook until tender. As a final touch, the meal was garnished with some more fresh tamarind leaves.
