Drone footage over Lindley Wood reservoir demonstrates the difference in water levels from August 2022 when drought was declared in Yorkshire and January 2023 with flood weather warnings in place.
Lindley Wood Reservoir is a reservoir in the Washburn valley in North Yorkshire that forms part of a series of reservoirs operated by Yorkshire Water. Yorkshire Water instituted a hose-pipe ban in reaction to drought conditions during the summer of 2022.
Drone pilot Bradley said "I couldn't believe the difference! People were running on that reservoir basin where now geese are swimming"
