Robert Marraro lived his entire life without the knowledge that he had a sister living on the other side of the county.

The Corpus Christi, Texas resident wanted to expand his family tree and use a DNA test from MyHeritage to further his records in 2018.

Virginia Hartman was based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, when she used another DNA testing service but it was not until she transferred her results to MyHeritage that she received a match.

Virginia was adopted as a child and always wanted to learn about her biological family and the results she received led to her discovering Robert.

From Robert's perspective he received the notification out-of-the-blue that he had a half-sister, one that his mother never talked about.

The two newly found siblings met in May 2018 and were instantly accepted as family in what was a heart-warming meet.
