Londoners gathered for a protest and candlelit vigil outside the Department of Education to mourn 16-year-old transgender girl Brianna Ghey who was murdered by two other teenagers in Warrington on Saturday (February 15).

Attendees laid flowers and lit candles in memory of Brianna, as the huge crowd, of around a thousand, swelled in the road.

The vigil, was one of many organised around the country this evening, activists say the trans-hostile narrative promoted within government and the media have contributed to hate crimes being committed.
