This smart tabby cat is able to twist knobs to open doors.

Video filmed in Shanghai on February 4 shows a 3-year-old cat named Miaomiao standing on a cabinet near a door and using its front paws to attempt to open the door by twisting the knob.

Its owner named Wang Shuai was heard saying: "Miaomaio, what are you doing?"

According to Wang, Miaomiao is the most intelligent feline among his three cats as it is the only one that can open the door.

Wang has never taught Miaomiao how to open the door, the feline mimicked Wang’s actions and learnt the skill by itself.

Miaomiao, a 3 ½-year-old cat, twisted and tugged the door handle. After a while, Miaomiao opened the door successfully.

Wang called its name and asked what it was doing. Miaomiao glanced back to its master and turned its head around.

According to the master, Miaomiao is the cleverest among the three cats he feeds; Miaomiao is the only one who can open the door with its paws.

Miaomiao's cleverness amazes its master. Wang said he has never seen a cat can twist a round handle to open a door.
