Fish that dine at the ring of a bell: A quirky training success in China
This is the amusing moment that a man had trained his ornamental fish, specifically Ranunculus species, to swim towards food at the sound of a bell.
On January 25, 2025, in Zhengzhou, Henan, the video captured a unique moment at a flow-through table where the man rang a bell and called the fish to eat.
The fish, appearing to recognize the sound, swiftly gathered around to feed. The man revealed that the inspiration came from dog training, and it had taken him a month to achieve this response from the fish.
The training had been successful, with the fish consistently responding to the bell as shown in the video.
