David spots some baby chicks with pink feathers in Karagwe, Tanzania. The pink hue varies in intensity with some chicks having light pink feathers and one chick having bright pink feathers.

The chicks are pink because farmers in Tanzania will dye their chickens to keep them safe from hawks. An employee from the organization advised the farmer to vaccinate the chickens with an antiseptic called Gentian Violet. The outlandish suggestion ended up working.
