Chelsea Football Club has opened its doors to the Muslim community allowing hundreds to break their fast pitch side during Ramadan.

The London club became the first Premier League team to host an open iftar.

Hamza Bilal Yunus attended the event on March 26 and recorded his experience.

"The tickets were extremely scarce however the experience was amazing. We were welcomed in and were given lots of goodies from Chelsea, Lidl, and a few charities.

"We were then sat down pitch side where many speeches took place in the lead up to Magrib time (iftar).

"The adhan was then called out and the atmosphere was surreal! The first ever time an adhan has been called out in such a big sports stadium.

"We then all prayed magrib salah in union men and women. And then had some lovely food provided by spice village, which included many options such as vegetarian and vegan as well as halal obviously which was amazing to see how they catered for everybody."
