In a touching moment, Senator George Mitchell arrived at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast, UK for a performance of The Agreement, and was greeted by a standing ovation and thunderous applause. According to @LisaMcA, the crowd composed of people from all walks of life, who had come together to show their gratitude for his instrumental role in the Northern Ireland peace process over the past 25 years.

The Agreement, a play about the Good Friday Agreement, had attracted a large audience, including many who had lived through the turbulent times leading up to its signing. The play depicted the efforts of key players such as Senator Mitchell, who had helped to bring about peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland.

As the senator walked into the theater on 16th April, 2023, the audience rose to their feet, applauding and cheering for him. Emotions ran high, as audience members expressed their thanks to the man who had played such a pivotal role in shaping the peace process.
