Whilst out for breakfast, this woman thought her cousin lifted her plate to toast to her, when she was actually just passing her potatoes over. 

Nyema Mcdowell, 47, travelled to Delaware for work and decided to meet her cousin for breakfast. 

After placing their orders, her cousin regretted keeping her potatoes and offered them to Nyema, who gladly accepted. 

When the food arrived Nyema’s cousin lifted her plate to pass over the potatoes but she had forgotten their prior arrangement. 

As they don’t meet often, Nyema thought they were toasting their plates to celebrate seeing each other and clanked them together. 

However, afterwards her cousin questioned why she wasn’t taking the potatoes and Nyema laughed and remembered their agreement.
