A woman who used to have a “quadruple chin” has gone viral after revealing her dramatic weight loss transformation – ditching her daily McDonald’s, kebabs and Greggs meals.

Caoimhe Whyte first started her weight loss journey after becoming sick and tired of feeling unhealthy, mentally and physically – and finding herself out of breath when playing with her son, Toby, four.

The 26-year-old mother-of-one has dropped six stone and says it has had a transformative effect on her life – with people “barely recognising” her.

Finally feeling comfortable in her own skin, Caoimhe has taken to TikTok to show her before and after snaps to her 63,000 followers (@idkacidvibess ).

One video, where she discussed her “quadruple chin” has 213,500 views, leaving stunned users dropping their jaws at the mum’s new look.

“My son was a massive motivator for me,” the mum from Ireland told NeedToKnow.co.uk

“I wanted to be able to play with him outdoors, go swimming and run around without being out of breath or feeling embarrassed.

“Back then, I felt so self-conscious of my size – including my quadruple chin.

“I wanted a better quality of life for both myself and my boy.”

At her heaviest, Caoimhe weighed 20 stone and 11 pounds.

She added: ”I felt worthless, disgusting and genuinely hated every single part of myself.

“I didn’t want to leave my house because I was embarrassed by how I looked, my mental health plummeted.

“My social life was non-existent because I didn’t want to go out and I even had to get private taxis everywhere I went because I was too heavy to walk long distances and didn’t want to take public transport.

“I was eating around 10,000 calories a day.”
Caoimhe was also diagnosed with sleep apnea, which meant she could go nights without proper sleep – and this further impacted her diet, energy levels and mental wellbeing.

She said: “This meant I would wake up multiple nights during the night gasping for air because I couldn’t breath.
“It would be really scary, I was scared to go to sleep at night because I was afraid of dying in my sleep.”

In September 2022, the home-maker decided to get gastric sleeve surgery.

The mum also overhauled her diet, eating 80 grams of protein a day, cutting down portion sizes and making sure to drink enough water.

She’s ditched her previous takeaway routine for eggs, fish, chicken and read meats, and consumes “very little” carbs.

As for snacks, she munches on light cheese, chicken bites, and ham or chicken slices.

She said: “I allow myself to have a treat every now and again because this isn’t a diet that I’m on, it’s a lifestyle change.

“I also take a multivitamin every day and I take biotin and collagen supplements to help with my loose skin.”
By June 2023, Caoimhe has lost six and a half stone in total, now weighing 14 stone.

She said: “I want to get down to nine and a half stone ideally.

“Currently, I feel a lot happier and healthier both physically and mentally.

“I feel like I’ve got my life back again and I’m able to enjoy life again with my son, my friends, and my family.”

In one of her most popular TikToks, which has 13,200 likes, Caoimhe a before and after picture of her face.

“No more quadruple chin, face to face after loosing six and a half stone,” the post is captioned.

Laura commented: “Na it’s crazy how much people’s faces change, if mine doesn’t change this good then is confirmed life hates me.”

Someone else wrote: “Prettiest lady.”

Bianca said: “You are so beautiful.”

“Girl you are stunning,” Kate wrote.

“You were always serving girl, your face is everything!” commented someone else.

“Jaw dropped.. you are beautiful no matter the size,” said Paige.

“Incredible,” added Katie.

“You look absolutely radiant,” wrote Lorraine.

Feeling happier and healthier than ever, Caoimhe added: “I go swimming now, which I love.

“I can go on long walks with my son and can even go the fun fair.

“There’s so many little things that you don’t realise make life a little easier and more enjoyable and I’m just so happy I can enjoy those little things in life again!”
