There's no place quite like home, and that's the vibe this lovely video gives off.

This footage captures the moment Nickola Mfon surprised her kids with their permanent home after years of living in temporary accommodations.

"I'd been bidding for permanent social housing since April 2009, three months after the birth of my first child," the filmer revealed to WooGlobe. "My first temporary accommodation lasted until December 2018 because the landlord wanted his property back. We were moved to another temporary accommodation in Abbey Wood (outer London). This one was far away from family and friends.

"I struggled a lot with stress and no help was offered by the council. In 2021, the Bexley council wanted to demolish the block of flats I was staying in, so I took the opportunity to get in touch with the Southwark council to let them know. Then, they put me on the list to move back into the borough."

The filmer added that she kept the news of their permanent house hidden from her kids, since she wanted to surprise them after fixing up the place a little.

And well, her idea proved to be a good one, since the younglings were ecstatic beyond measure while touring their new place.
