US woman who fell from Royal Caribbean cruise ship is rescued
A passenger, an American 42-year-old woman, on the Mariner of the Seas, a cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International, fell overboard from the 10th deck of the liner into the ocean more than 30 miles off the coast of the Dominican Republic.
The Coast Guard was alerted at approximately 5.44 pm on June 25.
The woman, who was safely rescued almost an hour later, was in good health and was kept in the cruise ship’s medical facility. She was later transferred to the Hospital in Willemstad, Curacao for evaluation.
