STORYLINE:

Muslims across the world are celebrating Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice which marks the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

In Iraq, some people including 40-year-old Khalid Hameed's family, are celebrating the four-day festival with family in a park.

"It is very important to have such amusement areas like al-Zawraa Park because we enjoy the feeling that life has returned after many years of chaos and violence that we wish will never come back," Hameed's wife told Xinhua.

In Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, a festive prayer was held on the Old Square with the participation of tens of thousands of believers, including high-level government officials and lawmakers.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov congratulated all believers on Kurman Ait (Eid al-Adha).
   
In India, Muslims gathered in mosques and prayer grounds to mark the occasion. Families and friends came together to exchange greetings and prayers.

In Sudan, people have to overcome their grief and challenges to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

Sudan has been witnessing deadly armed clashes between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the capital Khartoum and other areas since April 15.
