STORYLINE:

The 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held on Tuesday.

The SCO, the world's largest and most populous regional institution, stands as a good example of how China is working with its partners to promote a new type of international relations.

In its 22-year history, the SCO member countries have been working closely to enhance cooperation in various fields including security, economy and trade, public health and culture.
