STORYLINE:

The French far-right party Les Patriotes (Patriots) organized a march in Paris on Saturday, calling for the withdrawal from the EU and the strengthening of French sovereignty.

The march mobilized hundreds of people, and many participants said France should also withdraw from NATO.

"NATO, it's essentially a structure that was created for the pseudo defense of Europe, generally against Eastern countries a long time ago. It was the end of the war. I mean this structure today, it's useless. It's just war stories. It's just that. And through war, it's essentially American expansionism. They use other peoples for their economic story. That's enough."

"The problem with NATO is that we're at the service of the person in charge, the United States, who are in favor of war. They want us to be at war all the time, and it doesn't stop, because that way they can put their weapons on us, and lead us as if we are part of their country."
