Scottish actor Brian [C]ox slammed artificial intelligence as he addressed the crowd during a rally in London's Leicester Square on Friday (July 21) organised by the Equity UK union to express solidarity with the SAG-AFTRA strike in the United States.

The 'Succession' star spoke about another actor working on a production being told his image would be retained to 'do what the f*** they like with it', which [C]ox called a 'completely unacceptable position'. He continued, 'the worst aspect is the whole idea of A.I. and what A.I. can do to us'.

[C]ox then talked about how he went on a programme and was shown what an A.I. version of himself could do, including animal impersonations - 'I've never done a f***ing animal impersonation in my life', he said, adding he found the A.I. 'interesting' but 'weird, and really, a little scary'. He then warned that 'nobody' would be exempt from A.I. - 'if you do a performance on a film, on a movie, on a TV show, that's where they'll get you and that's what we have to stop'.
