STORYLINE:
Lingyun County in south China's Guangxi was hit by heavy rain from Wednesday to Friday.
The flood affected more than 12,000 people, forcing over 6,000 to evacuate and damaging hundreds of hectares of crops.
No casualties were reported, but the flood has disrupted the life of the residents.

"I am 50 years old, and this is the first time I have experienced such a big flood with such heavy rains."
Government workers and volunteers were mobilized to help clear the streets, schools, and residential areas of mud and debris.

"On the one hand, we need to quickly restore electricity, transportation, and communication in the affected areas, and quickly solve issues concerning people's livelihood.
