Surrey Sikh Gurdwara Prepares for Khalistan Referendum in British Columbia Canada after school cancels permit for the vote to take place in the school building. The school was concerned with the optics of the billboards and posters displaying a gun with a pen stabbing through the barrel next to a public school image and name.

This led to the last minute cancelation of the location permits and forced organizers to make alternate arrangements for the location of the referendum. The temple will now act as the voting facility on September 10th which is the same location in which Sikh activist and temple president, Hardeep Singh Nijjar was murdered at a few months ago.
