The bomb threat came amid rising fears of a terror threats because of the conflict in Gaza.

The historic monument had already closed its doors on Saturday October 14 after a first bomb threat, the day after the knife attack in Arras. Then the castle reopened later.

On 17 October, visitors were evacuated after a second bomb alert at the Chateau de Versailles.
