00:11

Rahaf, how are you doing?

Not good.

Why?
There is a war

00:20

Rahaf, tell us when and how did you come here? (to the UN school)

Yesterday afternoon we came here.

Tell us from the beginning, since you left your house til now

00:29

We left our home to a school, then we came to this school

Because all the missiles are there.

We are living in Al Salateen, near Um Al Fahm School.

Why did you leave?
Because of the war.

Please tell me from the beginning, we live there, and we left because of the war

01:04

Because all houses in the neighborhood were bombed, so we left. We were afraid that our house would be bombed too.

Who left with you?

Me, my dad, and my sisters.

01:16

Tell us, when you first left, how were the bombs near your house? How was it near the house and how did you leave?

01:27

We left then then started attacking, and my brother today went back home, and they continued attacking. The bombardment there is very intense.

01:45

I'm afraid a lot of the war. because they attack people with missiles and people die.

01:56

What is better, being at home or in school?

Home is better

Home is better, because it's good and we feel comfortable there. In school we don't

How is the atmosphere in the school?

Not good.

What do you mean not good, why?

It's hot and we are not in a class, we are in Zeenko (Zinc plates) like these whites. There is no comfort.

02:38

Okay, uhmm

Tell us how it was before the war. How you used to go to school and things were good. How did your mood change before and after the war?

Before the war we were happy, we used to wake up early and go to school and do our homework.

We used to do exams. On Saturday we woke up on a missile. Then all the missiles started bombing, and they said there is a war. And how did it change after the war?

03:10

After the war nothing happened. We were going to school, and it became terrifying.

How is it different?

The difference is that the home is much better than school.

Tell us how you feel at school?

Talk about your feelings in the school.
