Dramatic footage shows climber's terrifying backwards down a mountain in Japan.

The climber slammed his back against the rock during his sudden descent.

Fortunately, the climber managed to stay attached to his safety gear and he was able to flip himself back over.

The footage reveals a climber descending the mountain using a rope when he suddenly slipped and struck his back against a rock, flipping face-down. Groaning in pain, the climber's fate seemed grim. However, a tense moment later, after a conversation with the individual holding the rope, he miraculously flipped back face-up to assess his condition.
