The current conflict between Israelis and Palestinians dates back to the declaration of independence of Israel in 1948, a country that since its founding has experienced conflict with its neighbors, mainly Arab and Muslim countries. It is a conflict that was born in the last century but has been simmering for decades and seems to have no end in sight.

Tensions between Israel and the Palestinians have existed since before the founding of the state in 1948. Thousands of people on both sides have been killed and many more injured in a conflict that has been a long time in the making.
