Protesters call for expulsion of Israeli ambassador in Dublin, Ireland

More than a thousand people have staged a protest outside the Irish parliament in a call for the Israeli ambassador in Dublin to be expelled from the country.
It came as a Government minister warned such a move would push Ireland to the margins of international opinion.
Protesters waved large Palestinian flags as they also called for a ceasefire in the conflict.
The demonstrators chanted “Free Palestine”, “Israeli Ambassador, out, out, out”, and “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”.
The demonstrators also erected a large sign which spelled out “Gaza” in lights.
