Farmers of a trade union from Poland's Rzeszow region joined the protest by Polish truckers on the Polish-Ukrainian border on Thursday.

For over a week, Polish truckers have been protesting over a loss of business to foreign competitors during the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Protesters have blocked several border crossings with Ukraine. They allowed one truck per hour to the crossings in Korczowa and in Dorohusk, according to media reports. Buses carrying food, humanitarian aid and fuels were constantly greenlighted.

Transport entrepreneurs in Poland complained that the lower costs of doing business in Ukraine made it difficult for them to vie for customers. They demanded that Ukrainian trucks entering Poland obtain operation qualifications from Polish authorities. They also called for the cancelation of the electronic queuing system from the Ukrainian side, which they argued to have delayed their return from the country.
