Sink or swim: Woman floods kitchen after replicating TikTok cleaning hack

This woman managed to flood her kitchen after she replicated a "life hack" she watched on TikTok.

Social media user @kandy_kitty87 filmed as she took on the hack that was meant to leave her kitchen sink sparkling clean.

The video starts with the filmer unscrewing the drain before pouring cleaning powder into it and rinsing it down with water.

This is when she realises something has gone terribly wrong.

She told Newsflare: "The day I flooded my kitchen. I saw a cleaning hack on TikTok, got excited, went and tried it right away! I filmed this as I was excited to show everyone the before and after of this hack. I unscrewed the plug in my kitchen sink to 'clean' the hard-to-get places.

"Not knowing that I had actually disconnected the pipe from the sink, I innocently started to shove cleaning powder down the sink and scrubbed it with all my strength.

"Then this is where it got worse…I turned the tap on full rinsing and scrubbing away the gunge which I cleaned from my sink. After a few seconds I felt my feet wet and to my surprise after looking down my kitchen cupboard was a full-on waterfall coming out of the closed cupboard doors.

"Yeah, I had flooded my kitchen! This video proves I have no common sense…and that you should never believe everything you see on the internet. Do your research haha."
