A large landslide on Mile 11 along Zimovia Highway near Wrangell, Alaska killed at least three people, including a young girl. Others are still reported missing.
The landslide was reported on November 21, around 9 pm. Heavy rains a day before the incident as well as winds of up to 87 mph on Monday evening may have caused the landslide, according to local weather authorities. Residents in the area were urged to evacuate into Wrangell.
