Two days after being elected president of Argentina in last Sunday's elections, the leader of La Libertad Avanza (LLA), Javier Milei, met with the outgoing head of state, Alberto Fernandez, at the Quinta de Olivos. The meeting, which served as a kick-off for the transition, took place before the opening of the markets and, according to sources from both sectors, left both satisfied.

The expected meeting between Milei and Fernandez started at 8.30 a.m. (Milei had arrived a few minutes before) and ended minutes before 11 a.m. The economist and national congressman arrived after picking up Nicolas Posse, his right hand man and who would be the Chief of Cabinet of the next government, at his house. On the way, the president-elect also got out of the car at a traffic light to greet a group of children who greeted him from a school bus.
