Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer said the UK's creative industries had benefited from a decade of tax reliefs from Conservative governments, as she spoke at the Global Investment Summit at Hampton Court Palace.

Ms Frazer said: "Today we export that creative zest all over the world in our music, television, film, theatre, fashion, literature, video games and others. And here at home, that talent is backed by the Government at every opportunity.

"Consecutive Conservative governments have recognised the potential that exists across our creative industries, and they've recognised the enormous dedication and determination of the businesses and people in these sectors.

"We've been supporting and stimulating our creative industries with tax reliefs for over a decade – from film to animation to video games to theatre.

"These tax reliefs have helped to attract significant global investment into the UK."
