Israel resumed bombing the Gaza Strip on Sunday, despite growing international pressure for the protection of the civilian population and the resumption of the truce with the terrorist group Hamas.

The truce, brokered by Qatar with the help of the United States and Egypt, came into effect on Nov. 24 after more than a month of military action and expired on Friday when the Israeli army resumed bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
