This footage was filmed and produced 10 November 2023.

On November 10, 2023, in Guangzhou, Guangdong, a blue and white Budgerigar parrot perched atop a white fan as its owner attempted to teach it the first two lines of the "TengWangGeXu," a famous ancient Chinese poem.

Hilariously, after perfectly mimicking two lines of poetry taught by his owner, the parrot, named Mao Mao, began freewheeling, displaying a great deal of what he had learned from his owner's daily monologues.

Netizens couldn't help but be amused by the parrot's constant repetition of "I'm so smart," "I want to eat grapes," and even "I'm not a voiceover," with some delighted to discover that the parrot mimicked its owner's throat-clearing and sniffling noises who is a patient of rhinitis.
