The Turkish government aims to strengthen Türkiye's relations with its neighbors based on a "win-win" approach, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday.

"Despite interventions from third parties suggesting otherwise, we have worked to strengthen our relations with our neighbors, on the basis of a win-win approach.
We have resolved the differences of opinion that emerged between us and some countries in the region and brought our cooperation back to the levels where it should be.
While reaching historic heights in our relations with the Turkish-speaking world, we have also worked to develop cooperation with Europe and the U.S. based on mutual respect.
We have never turned away hands of friendship extended to our country."   
In 2023, Türkiye's exports reached 255.8 billion U.S. dollars, a 0.6-percent increase compared to the previous year, he said.
   
Türkiye's foreign trade deficit has narrowed by 3.2 percent in 2023, Erdogan said, as the country reached the highest export figures in July, August, October, November and December.
