A skier avoided a serious incident after he got a large stretch of netting caught on his feet whilst ascending a ski lift in Kluszkowce, Poland.

Footage filmed on January 20 shows the large section of netting wrapped around a skier's legs being pulled up.

Fortunately, the skier managed to wriggle free and the netting dropped to the ground below.

The filmer told Newsflare: "I was skiing on some small resort in Polish mountains, and I saw a kid messing around with a safety net. Unfortunately, he catches the net!

"As you can see on video net dropped after a couple of seconds and he got off safely without any injuries.

"The net was installed too low so this child was playing with his ski and dragging the net for fun.

"He could have broken a bone or something."
