A pet owner filmed their cat's seemingly unbothered reaction to two Mexican eagles snapping at it through a window.

Clovis, the filmer, recorded the amusing encounter at his home in Pelotas, Brazil.

The two birds of prey are seen pecking and kicking at the window whilst the feline playfully rolls onto her back.

"My cat was raised watching the hawks in the window, sometimes she tries to get closer to them, as if they were members of her family, in the video it seems that she is slowly winning over their friendship," Clovis said.

He added: "The cat was raised with the presence of hawks in the windows, she does not feel threatened. However, falcons rest and receive food at the window, and defend this space as their territory.

"The caracaras (Mexican eagles) are free and wild birds, they have never been in captivity or received any training."

The clip has racked up 1.8 million views on TikTok where users have left hilarious comments.

"Whatever you do, don't open the windows," one said.

One commented: "Window shopping has a new meaning."
