Recently, a video was released showcasing two aircraft engaging in a simultaneous launch from the carrier, a maneuver known as the "Covey launch."
In the released footage, Captain Hill expressed his enthusiasm for the maneuver, hailing it as a personal favorite and referring to it as a "two-fer." The Covey launch, as he described it, involves launching two aircraft down the catapults at the same time, typically utilizing catapults number 1 and number 3. This complex and synchronized event is a testament to the expertise of a seasoned air department deck crew.
