This is the cool moment showing how video subject Marcie Callewaert found her wallet eight months after losing it in the waters near Vancouver Island.

Marcie told Newsflare: "I lost my wallet overboard when climbing into our boat from the canoe at our anchor buoy. I heard the splash at the time but didn't register that it was my wallet until I tried paying for dinner at a restaurant later that day.

"I then realized what the splash was, and even as the sun was setting, I arranged for a diver to go look for it as soon as possible.

"The diver was unsuccessful, but eight months later, the winter wind and waves brought it into the beach where I found it in the high tide line. This video shows me opening the wallet to see the contents and how they've survived."
