One skier died and six others buried after Gulmarg avalanche, Accident live record
This is a dramatic footage of avalanche in Gulmarg on 22nd February which resulted in several foreign skiers being stranded and later rescued.
One skier from Russia has died in this avalanche, Gulmarg is a ski resort town in Jammu and Kashmir, Seven skiers from Russia were hit by the avalanche and six have been rescued.
The massive avalanche hit the upper reaches of Gulmarg today near the Kongdoori slopes, officials said. As per the reports, the foreigners had gone to the ski slopes without the locals,
A collaborative effort between the Gulmarg Ski Patrol of Tourism Department, J&K and J&K Police resulted in the successful rescue of a group comprising six Russian skiers and one local guide following an avalanche at the higher reaches of Gulmarg.
