Over USD 1.3 million have been found behind a wall during a raid that was part of an international sexual exploitation investigation. The Argentine authorities said that they had seized USD 1,333,700 (GBP 1.05 million) during raids on two homes, with the footage showing officers breaking a wall with an axe and finding the wads of cash.
The video then shows the haul of dollar bills piled up in stacks after the authorities found the cash thanks to a specially trained dog on Tuesday, 27th February.
The authorities reportedly arrested two 49-year-old men. The suspects have not been named but one is said to be unemployed by the others a computer engineer.
Local media said that the operation to investigate the international sexual exploitation ring was international in nature, with participation from the authorities in other countries including Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
