In a heartwarming display of community engagement, two Culpeper police officers were caught on camera joining a group of local children for a friendly game of basketball in Virginia, USA.

Officer Booth and K9 MPO D. Cole were spotted playing with the kids in a quiet neighbourhood in Culpeper County on 28th February. The heartwarming moment was captured on video and shared by the Culpeper Police Department on social media.

The department humorously mentioned that the officers may have been using the pickup game to brush up on their basketball skills ahead of an upcoming LEO vs Teachers basketball game at Culpeper County High School on March 15th. However, they added that the real reason was likely just to have some fun with the children.

The department also took the opportunity to recognize the heroic actions of Officer Jessica Jones, who was recently honored as Employee of the Quarter by the North Texas Police Chiefs Association. Officer Jones displayed incredible bravery on 26th August when she rescued a motorist from a fiery crash.

The Culpeper Police Department expressed thanks to the citizen who assisted Officer Jones, highlighting the importance of community support in times of need. The recognition of Officer Jones' bravery serves as a celebration of her heroism and the collaborative spirit of those who come together to help others.
